damn nice work you got going on here! Would love to hear a true sq build....

....love the boxes you've done man great work!

Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are!

I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating!

Wow! Have been working a lot of overtime lately and haven't had time to do much audio work, or forum visits. So it is very nice to log in and see a lot of positive feedback, thanks a lot guys! :good:

I was planning to have the rebuild ready by now, but a combination of new ideas, time and money limits the speed of progress :) For every new idea, more time and money is needed :D So I'm buying stuff as often as I can, to be ready to install when the time comes.

I've decided that the next install will be totally free of wood in any shape or form. So it will be a combination of metals, plastics and composites. Metal framework to attach everything to the car itself. Amp rack, panels and speaker adapters/spacers for the doors will be made of carbon fiber. I have bought equipment for vacuum resin infusion (to do it the proper way for max strength, minimal weight.) and a lot of carbon fiber fabric already.

This is the setup I have:

Subwoofer box will be made mostly of acrylic/plexiglas. Top, bottom and outward facing wall (rear). Probably composite sides and front wall. This will be custom made for the car by Nautiluz Creation. Maybe some of you have seen his build threads on here? This is an example:

Still waiting for my last Mosconi Zero 1 amp.. This is being tweaked now at the distributor to make it run in class A at a much higher threshold than stock :)

Here is one of the reasons for not having much spare time recently.. Making and installing all the graphics on this little rascal.. just over 1000 whp.. ;) It was delivered all white, and went out like this:

It had to be ready for this event (Gatebil) which is this coming weekend. I've been at the last events with the Golf, as they have SQ car audio competitions there as well, but staying home in the garage this time to get the car ready for the next event at least :)

Not a bad way to spend a weekend:
