i was in the process of finishing up my sound system. i have no rattles what so ever except for a heat-shield that sits on top of my stock muffler. (2010 lancer) my question is it i use some on top of my heat shield will it melt? or fall off. or it there another way to stop the rattle?

I'd imagine it'd just be stickier the hotter it got and stick better. I've heard that some people use a hair dryer or heat gun when applying sound deadener so I think it'd be the same sorta process.

most companies heat grade their dampening material. But i would go with Seconds skins stuff specifically for underhood use (LOT OF HEAT) even though im sort of an AT/CT nuthugger.
