KiKaZz74
IIRC the new version of your card is also compatible in crossfire too, but you got to use the old card as your master, and the new card as the slave. Also your added on origin! What's the new version of my card? 280? audiofanaticz
yea, pretty sure its the r9 280x or whatever, but it prob be a little more then the 7970, and due to the 280x needing to be the slave card, its best off to get anothe 7970 especially if its cheaper. Tech of Tomorrow has videos on it, as well as tek syndicate and linus tech tips iirc (all on youtube).

Also your added on origin! What's the new version of my card? 280? If you get the 280x the ASUS models are my favorite. The 280x's are cheaper than the 7970's with the same Tahiti GPU. And if you do get the new edition of your card then you can crossfire the 7XXX with the 2XXx. I have seen the 270x crossfired with the 7870. http://www.legitreviews.com/amd-radeon-7000-radeon-r200-series-mixed-crossfire-testing_126124 Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? Also your added on origin! What's the new version of my card? 280? The new versions of your card are the R9 270 and R9 270X. They both use the same chip as the HD 7870. The R9 270X just has higher clocks than the normal R9 270 (1050 MHz vs. 925 MHz). Chart courtesy of Tom's Hardware: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-270-review-benchmarks,3669.html EDIT: Graph formatting got all fucked up. Here's a screenshot instead: If you don't intend on overclocking then I would get another 7870 or get the R9 270X. Your 7870 @ 1000 MHz would match either of those cards at stock speeds. The 7870 would have to downclock to 925 MHz to match the R9 270 (non-X) at stock speeds and you would lose potential performance. If you're willing to overclock then I would buy the R9 270. You'll save money compared to the R9 270X and overclocking the R9 270 to at least 1000 MHz will give you the full performance of both cards. wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . KiKaZz74
Hmm. Thats nice. I'm over clocked to 1150mhz core and 1275mhz memory now so what would happen? But the 7870 ghz is going for $150 now I think. Was gonna see at black friday what it'd be. Runs ultra on bf4 at 55-60 fps but on a ~720p monitor. Trying to get a new monitor though. But ill be done with threadjack. Audio. U ran 3d mark? Post up the results if u do. Krakin
I was actually pissed when you said you were getting 55-60 on ultra, but it explains it after you said 720p. My 280x get 50-75 (sweeps a lot) in multiplayer, and high 60's-low 80's in singleplayer. audiofanaticz
for some reason i was reading what he put as a 7970, not a 7870. My bad
KiKaZz74
Lol. Its ok. And I'm sure I could still pull 50 out of ultra with a real monitor. If not hit performance on raptr and drop to high. Frames aren't an issue to me. I like better graphics personally. audiofanaticz
One night while gaming we came up with a slick idea and then steve just made it icing on the cake, by adding another item to the cool idea list (the TM-1C) as an automatic computer case fan controller So theres a few of us doing this I think so it should turn out cool!! But Im thinking I got to get a new case first since Ive been wanting to do that for a while, and just cant see putting all this work into a case I want to ditch. Anyways a few pics.
