Which to add for more juice?

So I am going to do this soon: http://www.ericsxj.com/intake/intake.htm

I'll get a wee bit more performance maybe but mainly it gets rid of that damn airbox so I have room under the hood for a second battery which is something I want to do. I want to add some extra lights to my Jeep in addition to my audio system. I have read into how I shouldn't run a traditional car audio capacitor so then I started looking into the Maxwell Ultracapacitors and that seemed like an even better idea than a battery perhaps. After much research though I have decided it is a bit excessive for what I am running/probably a daily build in general. Now I am reading about these Batcaps. I can't seem to find much information about them though. Can anyone enlighten me? Should I just get a second battery or is a Batcap a better idea? I am running a Sears Diehard Platinum and if I got a second battery I would probably just get another one of those. I do not want to run a battery isolator. Keep in mind I would have enough room for one of the battery sized Batcaps and not just the little ones. I don't really have any issue with voltage drop unless I am running everything in the car at once but I like to overbuild things sometimes and I have read these lights can use quite a bit of electricity. I also want to convert my cooling system to all electric in the future so I can ditch the mechanical fan and gain a bit more power there as well.

you want to upgrade ur battery and wiring.. there was a super long thread about capacitors on this forum and basically for daily purposes batteries are better than caps..

sometimes Loud is NOT pretty

Sounds like its safe to go ahead and bend that ass over.

Yeah I already did the big three and have everything run with OFC 0 gauge. My battery is a Sears DieHard Platinum which seems to be held in pretty high regard.

So you are saying a second battery would be better than a battcap? I found the thread about ultracapacitors and quite a few threads about regular capacitors but I didn't see anything about battcaps.

Ya just add a second battery

Takes power to make power. Adding a battery is just more reserve

Yeah I have read a lot of threads that say this as well. The thing that sucks is I have a damn PCM controlled alt. It seems to be keeping up with everything I have as of now very well. When it's very hot out it stays around 13.5, when its warm 13.7, early morning cool 14.0. Didn't have anything installed during winter yet so we will see what happens there. I put my dmm to my battery a couple times and got 13+ which seems too high. Shouldn't it be 12? Last time I had the battery tested it scored almost 1200ccas even though it is rated for I THINK 880. This was at Sears on their testing machine. I have read online that my battery voltage may be high because my sub hits alternator works harder for more charge but then there is a pause in the beat so it turns back down, then it hits again and this causes the cycle to start again. I don't know if I believe this to be entirely true though because I don't think it is going to react that fast or is it? Plus it seems like it would pretty much even itself out when it hit the next time.

I guess I am going after more reserve and stiffer/higher voltage so really I should be doing both. The guys on JeepForum seem to recommend one of these for lots of accessories: http://alternatorparts.com/external-voltage-regulator-high-output-alternator-kit.html

It isn't going to get me to MLA/Mechman Regulator levels of voltage but it seems to be enough for my application with the added bonus of being cheaper+doesn't give you a check engine light. Then again though, If i am running at 14.3v all the time, won't this also overcharge the battery? It says it is adjustable if that helps. Maybe I should just get one of these first and see what happens?
