bass_lord Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 I recently purchased a 18 Fi BTL and had a custom built box made. Its tunes to 32 hz. But i have to amps and im wondering which is best for my subwoofer... i have a JL 1000/1 and a SPL Gorilla 5500 mono block... i know the JL plays 1000 watts of true power... the SPL say it plays 3200watts rms but we all know that isnt true... but does it play more than 1000 watts of power.. HELP PLEASE
hazestorm23 Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 SPL is the same as power acoustik and kole amps I had a power acoustik stax 5500 with dual inputs for ground and power and it had 5 40 amp fuses it was rated at about 3500 at 1 ohm but I was thinking at the most 1500 RMS at 1 ohm. They in no way will match jl sound quality I would stick with the jl. Then again that pa was bumping my rf t1s pretty damn good
