Advise needed about sub size.

Ok, so I am having a problem deciding what subs and amp to run. Right now I have some nice JBL P963s running on a Mmats E600.4, and they do screem. But, I still have a cheap PowerBass 12 with it's own amp inside the box it came in. It is ok, but now that my car is paid off I def need to upgrade. So, the debate about 2 12s or 2 10s starts. The important thing to know is, I usually listen to mostly rock/metal/hardcore and sometimes some elecro/house/breakbeats style music. I want to FEEL the double bass drum from a Slipknot or Tool song hitting me in the chest! But, I also want to be able to feel the bass drop when I play some old school house music. Oh yeah, I drive a Camry, so I have a nice sized trunk, but I don't want to take up all the room either. SO you pro's out there, please chime in, and feel free to add links for amps, subs and any input and why you think this way.. Thanks y'all.. Oh yeah, I am not trying to break the bank, but, I do have a good job, so I would guess mid-range price point would be best.. Not trying to compete or anything.. :thanx:

The airspace requirements of a pair of 10s and 12s is going to be close to each other. I would personally go with a pair of 12s and a 2k amp based on what you are saying you want to do.

If you have any interest in DC audio products, send me a message and I will be glad to help you figure out what you need.

Ok, I will check out DC products and try to learn about them. Also, I am not running an upgraded alt, but I am about to do the big 3 upgrade. Will this be enough for a 2000 watt DC amp plus the 600watt Mmats I am running my highs on?

i think any of the popular 12" subs will do, i my self drive a cadillac cts and didn't want to take up all my trunk space so i just ran one 12" incriminator audio. I am very satisfied with my set up. I am not doing for loud.

Ok cool, thanks for the input. I will try and get some measurements for the trunk up pretty soon so I can start to plan everything out. I know I need to upgrade the big 3 first, so after that is done I will be ready to move forward.
