Krakin Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 What is up with people suggesting 4th and 6th orders like they are willy nilly to build? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

Krakin Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 What is up with people suggesting 4th and 6th orders like they are willy nilly to build? And he barely has the space for ported let alone 4-6th Haven't seen many with the space and thoes that do end up with more sub and now there is no space The truth is if these people knew the math, testing, and time that goes into understanding and building a proper 4th/6th they would know how ridiculously crazy they are. Let alone know what the "4th", "6th", or "bandpass" mean. This being said I haven't been able to mess with band pass one being space of a single cab. Two I did it much more useful to keep learning more about parameters and sealed/ported enclosures. I apologize, /end rant Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?
