Kicker CVX 12's Boxes?

Recommended Posts

Posted

ok so i traded my cvr's for 2 4ohm cvx's

now they are in my old boxes. about 2.20 cubs each. tuned to about 38hz. They are in 2 separate boxes but both the boxes are the same.

the subs are facing the front of the car with the ports out of the sides in the trunk.

Are these boxes gunna be good enough or are there any other suggestions for boxes.

now they are at 1ohm powered by a memphis mc1000d bridged.

car 2001 saturn l200 seats folded down.

THANKS

Depends on the port size

Yes 2.2net is perfect

If its a pre fab then that would possible be gross

Power is fine, 550-600 a piece (ratted 750-1000ea)

So you could go bigger on the box if you want

As for hz well that's up to your tast of music and what you wish to achieve

Id do 4.5 cubrs at 33hz an put about 600watts rms to them. I can design you a cut sheet if you'd like

That would be awsome!!! could we tune to something like 36-38hz???

Is they are prefab just get a design mocked up and build it. You will love the outcome for sure.

fuck the plating. look at what the main metal used is. you could buy unicorn blood plated terminals but if its just covering up dog shit, whats the point

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha
