Thank you for sharing dude. You need to get a build log started so I can track your progress. Thank you for looking at my build, regular cabs have to stick together man ;)

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Your box broke, I honestly wasn't expecting that. Looked solid to me. My paint job is really lame,

Have you added a ground from the bottom of the cab to the frame rail? The cab is mostly held by the rubber cab mounts, and we all know the *COUGH* capacity of factory grounds.

This might help clean things up (signal wise) and get you a little louder too. Every time I've upgraded a ground, I can turn the gain down some and still have the same output which I feel is a noticeable increase in efficiency. Just my two cents.

(I know I'm fumbling on the dark on the gain thing, I really wish I had a DD-1, but all I've got is a sensitive ear and test tones)

Sierra, how much have you upgraded your electrical? I read you had 0ga, but what about bats and alts?

Knowledge is the greatest tool in any garage. It's also the most priceless, and most easily shared. icon_nuts.gif

Here's my latest build.

Alt is getting upgraded soon. This whole build will be out shortly.

Yes, I've got my ground on the frame rail, I did that long ago.

I'll be running a Singer 275A, another D3400 under the hood and then likely 2 or 3 Group 31 or better equivalent batteries

:peepwall:

Oh, the box held together after round 2 of fiberglass :P

Krakin's Home Dipole Project

http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
