DC XL 18 on 3.5k

Will a DC XL 18 handle a DC 3.5k ok? Planning on getting a DD-1 and CC-1 to help set up everything correctly. I know the XL 18 is rated at 2200 (4400 peak) but I don't have much experience on high quality subs. Currently looking at a DC 3.5k or 2k, or a Q1-2200D, but I feel like DC amps are of higher quality... Am I wrong?

Thanks guys. I've been talking about wanting to set up a system a lot but with the 18th birthday coming up I'm planning a full system build, for sure.
