goodvibez
I was wondering about how the power supply would effect the lighting, thanks for the info steve! That would have sucked to find out the hard way! I think ill just go grab some good old fashioned computer fans and get them in there, then probably just wire up some led's on a separate set up. Btw, what's a good temp to set the fans to? I live in Arizona and its friggin hott here so sometimes when i get in my truck it reads 110 before the amp starts playing. Just wondering how you set yours Quote Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! meade916
i guess it just depends on your situation. For me, mine kick on at 100f. By the time the "chamber" (that the amps are sitting in) hits 110, it is 60% then at 120f, it's at full speed. Seems to work good. Then again, on our HOTTEST days, it is hard for my fan system to keep up. It will do much nicer in the more mild weather. I mean, if my fans are pulling in 125 degree air (from asphalt level, back by the back tire) and the chamber is already 120, you can imagine it isn't going to cool very well I can get that thing up to 130+ easily in there. Just on the hottest days. I would say from Sept to late June, i am golden. July and August are rough 1 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Over 1,000,000 subscribers strong! goodvibez
I think I'll probably set mine at the same temp, I mean they will be on almost all the time but that doesn't matter as long as they do thier job! It will be an improvement having anything move air back there Soooo tried my hand at some plexi work today, here's how that went First cut taced and cut a piece with the circular saw Wedged in there perfect! cut a sample piece and sprayed some of this night shades to see how dark I wanted it. Used some hot glue and some CA glue to hold it in place, sits in there pretty sturdy and flush Taped it off and sprayed It came out pretty good, maybe a little on the dark side hehe. It's nighttime so it was kind of hard to get a good pic with the lighting I tried a few different ways. You cant see anything behind the glass unless you turn the truck on so it looks just gloss black with everything off wich I like. Also this night shades stuff tends to lighten over time so I'm going to roll with it like this for a while and decide if I like it. So far it's pretty sweet! BTW you can only see the glue when you shine a bright light at it, its just reflecting the flash, normally you cannot see any glue I like it so far, if I redo it I may mask off the white lettering in the center so that it comes out a little brighter when I spray the darkshades. My phone died so I didnt get to take all the pics I wanted so I'll post a few more either later tonight or tomorrow. ToNasty
how did you relocate the heater ac controls? i have the same truck Quote ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
goodvibez
Well right now I have no ac untill I finish my center console faceplate this weekend, the wires should be long enough to move your controls down a bit. You may have to pull them back a bit and re-rought them a different way. No a/c in az sux by the way! ToNasty
were are you planning on putting the controls? And are you modifying the wiring for them to remount them? goodvibez
Right below, I'm basically droping them down about 6-8" to the faceplate of the center console. These look better than the controles do and I like having my HU and gauges in one clutster when I'm giving a demo, so I can monitor everything. I could have just as easily mounted the smd gauges down there but I think this looks and works for me better. Besides I live in a very hot town in az. The ac is stuck on full freeze 80% of the year so I dont touch my controls all that much lol!
