Pioneerchuck
Just get some angle steel and weld it to the frame and mock up the mounting feet of the tanks and compressors onto a couple pieces of flat steel and weld them to the angle steel and then you have a solid mounting structure which you can cover with some thinner sheet metal to protect from the environments and road grime and salt. Pioneerchuck
Its been a while since Ive been under an older Chevy but I think you should have some room on the right side of the truck opposite the gas tank to mount a box for the compressors and tanks. fox_racin4
if you run dumps under the cab for exhaust sure, but then you get to deal with te drone from exhaust. theres room BEHIND the axel under the bed. mind you it all depends on how low he want to go as well.... 1998 gmc extd cab 12 crossfire C710s 4 SAZ-4500s 3 Singer 400A altsbuncha mids/highs Team Asshole
boom50cal
FUCK IT JUST PUT THAT SHIT ON TOP FOR TEH LULZ just kidding, me and my dad have talked about doing an inframe tank for awhile after going to car shows and seeing those big ugly tanks. Didn't know it was actually done though... I would think that it would tank a GREAT welder and a good finish job on coating to keep it daily driver worthy. cuznlucky
It's done quite often in the adjustable show scene with pressure in them, just usually easier to mount aftermarket tanks somewhere and you get a "guarantee" pressure rating. Below is a pic of my friends air tank in process of being built for his T-bucket. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3041436370697&set=a.2996765173945.1073741826.1706715050&type=3&theater https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2998888387024&set=a.2996765173945.1073741826.1706715050&type=3&theater 2001 Toyota Solara (Daily driver small system) Mechman 240A (140A Idle) Main battery - Exide AGM Group 34 Audio battery - Kinetik HC800 Head Unit - Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Storage - Seagate Wireless Plus 1TB HD Processor - Audio Control Three.2 Distribution - PowerAmper Power Meter (Old school cool) Mid/High Amp - JL 300/4 Front Stage - JL xr650-csi Rear Stage - JL xr650-cx Sub Amp - JL 500/1 Subs - 2 x Hifonics HFX12D4 PowerAmper Power Meter, amps, battery all mounted on custom "strut tower" bar.
