deadbroke
Was looking at doing some work to my doors by adding a couple mids and tweeters. What is preferred or is it just preference with doing speaker pods and attaching them to the door panel or fiberglassing the speaker rings into the door panel. Anyone have some pros ad maybe cons. Of doing these?
bighossf150
I did pods, makes it easier to change later on if I want to switch it up Used to have a loud truck 2009 Corvette Z06, H/C/I, 150 shot, g force tune, 730rwhp/690rwtq 2013 F-150 limited, MPT Tune, leveled on 35"s
Kyblack76
I did pods, makes it easier to change later on if I want to switch it up I agree.. I think with the "pod" it acts like a lil enclosure. Ive also heard, that is what brings mids alive. That, and a good amount of dampner..... deadbroke
are you guys mounting the pods to the door panel or the inner skin of the door and cutting out the door panel around it because I have seen it both ways.
CarAudioFab
are you guys mounting the pods to the door panel or the inner skin of the door and cutting out the door panel around it because I have seen it both ways. What it really all boils down to is are you ok with permanently changing the door panels, or will you have to return back to stock at some point? (Leased vehicle, want to sell vehicle etc) I prefer completely cutting the door panel but I made the video series about door pods as many people prefer the ease of bolting something on, and changing it later or removing it. -Mark Host of "CarAudioFabrication" - YouTube Car Audio Tutorial Channel Check out my forum section here on SMD for my builds and tutorial videos!
