Amp help

So i recently picked up to SQ SDC2.0 8's that I am gonna glass into my kicks for some midbass. My question is for these, should i use a 2-channel or mono amp? They'll be ran from around 80-200hz, with tuning may change. I didn't think about it before but I'm assuming 2-channel for separation. Thanks for the help guys.

i'd do a 2 channel, wired to 2 ohms stereo.

Thanks that's what i was thinking. I found an awesome deal on a Kicker zx550.2. The subs are dual 4's so i'd parallel the coils like you said for 2ohms

You definitely want stereo seperation on midbass.

More like 80hz. We can localize anything above ~ 80hz. There's a ton of stereo information between 80-200hz. Time alignment is also crucial for those frequencies (not that he asked).

Thanks for the help guys. I can get the zx550.2 for $100. But i'm also looking into a 6 channel. Do you guys know any 6-channels that are active compatible that can do around 250 watts x 6 at 2ohms? I'm doing a 3-way system for my front stage and it would be nice to have one large amp, plus better SQ. I'd rather do it once right.
