Chances are they wouldnt do that unless they are either the same amp, or just lying to their customers. But in all seriousness I just went thru this with a guy that bought one and was not very happy with it over his brutus (non elite) amp, and expected much more. Granted, the amps will make some power, but trying to play them off as being better because they cost more, when its just a bigger amp with a different heatsink is another thing.
