Nipsy06 Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 This is my first build on my own. I have all Audioque. AQ1200d amp and 2 SDC 2.5 12s on the way. I need help building my box! I never built a box and I live in an apartment with few tools and limited space so I cant saw too much wood. I heard that Home Depot could do cuts and I could just put it together. Whats the best way to build a box for 2 SDC 2.5 12s or should I just buy a box? If so where from and about how much for both projects? Thanks!

Depending on the music you like tune accordingly to that. The lowest I would tune even for rap music is probably 31-32hz. I prefer 34-35hz I think it gives me a better range on all music. Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
AMI CUSTOMS Posted September 28, 2013 Report Posted September 28, 2013 You could buy one of the enclosures thru atrend that Soundqubed sells, cuz you still gonna make some dust even if you get home depot to do all the cuts. Home depot won't cut the sub holes out for you. And that is best done with a router, which makes a ton of dust lol. If you need a design hit me up, I am the SoundQubed Expert in these parts.
