Damn, you must have one awesome job, I remember 2 years ago I had 2 alpine type s from the 90's in a sealed up box with a 600 watt pyle amplifier. Good choice on firing upwards in a jeep, because I just got a new grand cherokee and the sub firing up was so much sexier than any other vehicle my sub has been in lol

Lovin' the build, but what is the point behind that motor?

Do those cutouts serve to help cooling?

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

So quick question...wheres all the funding coming from? Selling drugs? Mowing lawns? lol

The box is birch which is what quite a few people use and it has a lot of bracing built into it so I think it'll be just fine and if its not I can always build another. All summer I worked about 35 hours at minimum wage and I shoot trap and the trap that I shoot has large money prizes for the winner and I spent all of the money I made working shooting then I won quite a bit more back enough to buy a new gun ( Kreighoff K-80 Trap special) if anybody knows what that is and enough to save for a while until I decided exactly what I wanted. I still work but only about 15 hours a week which doesn't amount to much basically pays for gas haha about 14mph in the jeep. So that's the money situation not daddy's money like people may think. Oh and most of the stuff was bought used off of caraudio for a lot cheaper than I could have bought it new obviously but I'm about broke now haha and I need another battery and some other little things to finish the build. I will be excepting donations through pay pal haha no Ill figure it out but I got most of the first layer of my amp rack built so here it is.

theirs the room I have

IMAG0646_zps7d9254d3.jpg

hit up my dads scrap metal pile and got some thick channel and bolted it through to a piece of metal that runs across the floor. The main purpose of this is incase I got in a crash and the box slid forward it wouldn't end up at the dash with me inbetween so I hope itll work but I hope I never have to find out.

IMAG0650_zps354d49ad.jpg

bolted through the channel and L brackets to the box

IMAG0651_zpse64e25cd.jpg

how the amp will sit Im planning on flush mounting it with another board that goes up to the seat back and down so its a false floor. The amp isn't touching the box its about 1/4 in away.

IMAG0653_zps465a3fd9.jpg

the battery mount I made up real quick it mounts on the channel. Im planning on another battery on the other side the same way.
