Andre Bunte Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 I have a 2002 dodge intrepid with a rf t1500 amp and 2 12 kicker l7s in a factory box, it sounds ok, but i know it has way more potential. Will a custom box make a huge difference, and can it be done with my 2002 dodge?

Joe X Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Those subs can sound horrible in small boxes, a larger properly done box will make them not only louder for the watt but better sounding.
Andre Bunte Posted October 16, 2013 Author Report Posted October 16, 2013 ok well my box is exactly 3ft from laft to right, 14inches from top to bottom, and 16inches wide. how does that sound? and ports are at each end and there is a divider between woofers
bighossf150 Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 that box is only like 3.6 cubes before port and sub displacement which is tiny, I've always heard l7's like big boxes Used to have a loud truck 2009 Corvette Z06, H/C/I, 150 shot, g force tune, 730rwhp/690rwtq 2013 F-150 limited, MPT Tune, leveled on 35"s
