Trying to get over 150 in bmw 530i, questions.

I am looking into replacing my old setup and really wanting something loud and have my heart set on getting over 150 in my mid sized bmw. I only have room for 12 inch subs and am starting off next month, thinking about 1 12" DC level 5 on a crescendo 3500, with 1 kinetic hc2400 under the hood an 1 extra 2400 in the back. I have a stock 170 amp alt which isn't upgradeable (bmw.....) and am running all awt gauge wiring. My seats do fold down, anyone have any experience with this setup on a term lab or have an opinion about if it will get me over 150 or how close? Any other opinions/suggested would be greatly appreciated.

The best BMW build on here. Maybe you can pick up some things by going through his build. Enjoy ;)

Did you get that scar tissue when you got your vagina installed?

A single 12 in that car is going to be incredibly hard to get to 150. Id say to do 7K to a DDz for burps.

And even then its just a maybe.

Its not the proper kind of car to chase numbers.

So my advice is to not worry about chasing numbers and just build as big and badass as you want and can afford. Then the numbers will be what they will be and you will be happy with the sound.

So why not 2) 12s and a 5-7K amp? That should fit, and would do amazing things.

Oh and btw, I have alternator options for 2001-2005 BMW 530s, with the 3.0.

What do you have?

Whoa, whoa, whoa...

I really appreciate the shout-out, but Robola46's 3-series is the best BMW on here, bar none.

It's a show car and not for numbers, but the fab work is second to none, here or on any forum for that matter.

Regardless, it is possible to hit a 50 from a trunk, but not easy.

You'll probably need two 12's and a good 5kW or more although I've read that member "Rogue" hit a 49 with one DD9512 and a SWEET custom rear deck.

Plan on using most of the trunk and a lot of port area.

Good luck and keep is posted! :good:
