Wiring 20 subs

Recommended Posts

Can someone assist me here.

I'm in the process of buying 20 subs.

Need to know what's the final ohm of 20 d2 subs in series and parallel

Also in 20 in d4 configuration.

with 20 woofers you have many options.

How many of what amp are you looking to do?

1 amp. Sorry. and if you did, then you would know you can only use up to 4 drivers. I posted 20 sir.

Wiring 20 subs in series/parallel to one amp I got 0.2ohm for the D2s and 0.4 for the D4's.

what about parallel/series?

Geeze, 20 off of 1 amp is gonna be a huge headache. performance may not be the best either.

But if you had D2 woofer, you can parallel each for 1ohm each woofer

Then series 5 woofers together and have 4 groups of 5 at 5ohms each.

Then parallel the 4 groups together for a final load of 1.25 ohms nominal.

Of course with all those woofers and series wiring, you will rise up very high and efficiency will fall.

Any reason you would not want more amps?
