The entire top of the box was intended to be plexiglass, and we wanted to have a plexiglass port so that you could see through it to the subs. Its the flimsiest stuff I could find at Home Depot, while still being rigid enough to not break- and we put it on there and it broke anyways the first time. Then we decided to Kerf the 1/8th inch material to make it bend easier. so after running it down the table saw 30 times where you see the lines across it, It bent alright. It was still pretty nerve racking, but it worked.
