moegej
I have a problem with my power run that goes from my front battery to my rear battery. It keeps popping fuses!! at first i had an 80amp mini anl fuse on it and it worked great until it blew. I just thought it was simply too small of a fuse to use so I put in a 300 amp anl fuse from skyhigh and now that one blew too. I figured it must have to be a short somewhere and that the wire rubbed through somewhere. But there was no spots where it rubbed through to be found..So I put another 300anl fuse in it and im gonna see how long its gonna last.. 06 v6 Mustangbig 3Mechman 270 Hybrid G2 interstate batteriesBC3500 wired at 12 Sundown x-10 D4's
graham0599
It is probably grounding out somewhere. My 350z build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/174424-2008-350z-build/page-2?hl=%2B350z+%2Bbuild#entry2605678
Wicks
Disconnect all batteries. Use a DMM on ohms and measure the resistance between the power and ground wire. Look for a low resistance short. You should be in the mega-ohms so if you see anything significantly lower then that then that would be your issue. Then you'd have to run along the wires and keep measuring to look for the location of the short. moegej
yes that is what i figured but i inspected the whole length of the wire and didnt see anywhere where it could have grounded out. 06 v6 Mustangbig 3Mechman 270 Hybrid G2 interstate batteriesBC3500 wired at 12 Sundown x-10 D4's

Wicks
Lets back up then. What size power wire are you using? What load are you running at the end of the wire? jk13
its rockford 1/0 and its just the run between my 2 batteries So power off, system off, just connecting the two battery positives blows the fuse? What is resting voltage on the two batteries individually? Static drops are my bag.

Wicks
A 300A fuse would be appropriate for the wire. What else are you running off of the wire/battery combination? Just the BC3500 in your Sig? Or other amps as well. Where is the fuse located physically?
