Mustang06331 Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 Today, 04:16 AM I'm sure this has been answered here at some point or another but I'm new to the amp strapping concept . Can any amps be strapped namingly fosgate cp amps ? I see some manufacturers have special master slave inputs and outputs is this nessisary to strap an amp and if not how would you wire them if they do not have these features? I was thinking a set of rca's to both and then wiring + to - from one amp to the other and having the remaining + and - from the amps goto the subs. Can any 2 identical amps be strapped weather they are designed to be or not . Is this a concept the manufacture picked up from the tinkerers and then made amps that are config to be used this way or did this start on a manufacture level ?
hazestorm23 Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 From what I've seen some amps are strappable even if they don't have the master - slave inputs and outputs. Usually you can contact the manufacturer and they will let you know. As for the wiring maybe one of the more experienced people on here can help you. Maybe putting your amp model that you plan on strappibg and such would be more helpful
