I really love Bobwires portfolio so I wanted to make one to. Since there has been a lot of car audio builds in my garage these last years.

Starting with an BMW 7 series E38 this is actually the old setup i had in my M3.

Making a new floor plate

This guy is often on road trips so he wanted a spare tire that was easy to access.

Hinges will be used to get the floor up.

Made a new top plate since it now is 4" higher than the original floor.

This is where the plexiglass will be mounted.

Lowered the glass into the MDF plate so that it is flush.

Starting with the subwoofer enclosure

Made the 4 mm plates so that it would be easier to get the alcantara nice inside the box.

Front is visual from the inside of the car..

I am trying to do the light on a different way than ordinary is this build.

This is black smoked plexiglass.

This is how it looks, you can also see the alcantara is now in place.

Placing RGB on the edge of the sub.

Wire that is going to be visual.

Some metal trimming is necessary here

1 1/2" rings for 12" woofers.

Still fits....! But it needs to be placed inside of the car i 2 separate pieces.

3 layers og 500grams fiber glass


Then sandwich and 3 more layers of fiberglas

Made a separate box to the 6.5" in the top.


After several hours of sanding.



Soon ready for some vinyl


This area was boring... So I made a Phoenix Gold logo here with plexiglass.


1" plexiglass into pieces

Drilled a hole for LED and sanded it with 400 paper.


Ready to be polished

Side panels made to do the wrapping easier.


Used some time to get this good.
