Afro's 2005 Crew Cab Silverado

Hey guys, I'm new (as a member, but not as a creeper) to the forums. Just want to post up a few pics of my Crew Cab. It's a 2005, 5.3L with Corvette Tranny Servos, Volant CAI, Taylor Plug Wires, and MBRP Exhaust. Hope to do some more to it in the near future, performance-wise

I've had the chrome stripped and painted to match, as well as colormatched HD front end swap, mirrors, bumper cap and handles. Traded off the ugly gray valance and swapped it for the black one that came on the work trucks. It has a rollbak G2 also, and raptor liner in the bed. Dropped the back 2". Also swapped for the LTZ wheels, thank god! Hoping to upgrade to 22" Racelines in my next life.

Interior is virtually stock besides the audio.

Tsunami Interconnects and d-blocks, and T-Spec fuse holders

Hoping to score an RF 360.2 soon

I am in grad school right now and have a kid on the way, so I'm hoping to get my front door pods glassed for 6.5"s and 8"s, batteries installed, second 10.4 AB installed, front doors deadened (rear and back wall are done), alternator charging the batteries, and console finished all over Christmas break.

Thanks guys! It has been a slow build and I've had my fair share of A.D.D. with it, too. I have all I need to finish it though I think.

I'm also considering going 1-12" and porting the console. These things barely meet sealed requirements with only 2.2 internal cu ft. I've got 1200 wrms @ 1ohm to play with.

Here's progress today, got my spare doorpanels taped off and sharpie lines made. Going to be glassing the bases of my door pods this week. The 6.5"s in the pic are just for mock-up. The TS-Ds that are going in the pods are currently installed

Well, update... Semester almost over, just finishing two final projects. The truck is about ready:

*Batteries are on the charger, already wired in parrallel.

*Aluminum Buss Bars are being made right now

*Templates are made and ready for my door pods, fiberglass bases are already made, and I molded in backstrap to allow to the same exact mounting as the factory grilles.

*Low Temp Plastic is already en route from Mobile Solutions

*3Sixty.2 is locked down and mine, just gotta head south to make the trade for some Alpine Type R 10"s and she's in my posession.

* Gonna rely on those amazon gift cards for Christmas for grill cloth, RCAs, Relays, more Deadener, bluetooth dongle, and top post battery terminals... then if anything is left, VLEDs and HIDS.....

I'm also making a router table out of our old cat litter box, sounds dumb amirite?!?!?!?!, but wait til you see it.
