mmets Posted October 30, 2013 Report Posted October 30, 2013 I need an alternator and was either going to go with Mechman or Singer. I am not trying to start a vs thread on this. Singer can do a 350A but have not heard anything from him in a few days. ( I understand he is a busy guy) Mechman can do a 250A and have had no issue with getting in contact with them. Nubcakeninja Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 i got my singer 350a a couple months ago and hes a real good guy, i have a 4.3l v6 in a 4 door 4x4 95 blazer and im running 2 12 inch t1s on a t2500.1 bd and mine stays at 14 volts all the time. when i was askin about mine, ppl said go the biggest u can so u dont have to upgrade later. im upgrading to 2 t2500s next yr and now i dont have to worry about upgrading my alt again 1995 Blazer lt 4dr 2 t1d412s 1 t2500.1bd 4 polk audio door speakers 2 dash speakers(coming soon) 1 amp to run my mids and highs(coming soon)

You may loose some lower RPM output on the 350a. mmets Posted October 31, 2013 Author Report Posted October 31, 2013 Well I am the type of person that doesn't like to wait so went with a Mechman 250A, however,..........Mike Singer did call me today which I missed then called him back. I told him that I already ordered one from Mechman. We have about a 25 minute conversation as I drove home. He said with what I have that the Mechman would be just fine. If I was going to run at .5 ohm then he said I would be pushing it (which I'm not). He was a really cool dude and was surprised he didn't say anything bad about the alt I ordered. I did want to get one of his alts but will run the mechman since both companies seem to be pretty solid. But anyways sorry for the words. Just wanted to update this thread and thought it was nice of Mike to give a call.
