What should I run?

So I'm a beginner in car audio and I'm looking for a system build. It's going to be a daily system, but I'm wanting it to be louder than others. The others are friends of mine - one is running 2 Polk 12"s on 1500watts, and the other has it in with a shop owner and is getting 2 PowerBass 3XL 12"s on 3kwatts.

I have a '93 Toyota Tercel, with not so big trunk space. I've looked at Soundqubed, Fi, Obsidian, etc. but I'm not sure what I should go with.

My budget is $1000 MAX, and that's for subs, amp, and box (and maybe wiring, I have some but not much).

If you need anything else, just ask.

Thanks

Sundown SA series 2 12s (if they can fit) on a crescendo or if thats too much a Hifonics. Great first set up

The spot with least resistance LOL.

I would ground to a rubber dildo if it had less resistance than a run of 4/0 wiring.

how many poeple work there 3 or 4 lol

At crescendo HQ? probably 2-3

At the sweatshop in china? 30,000 children

No Engine

DC is a great way to go if it ends up being affordable for your budget.. Or sundown is good too like the first guy said.

Spend it on electrical first batteries, wire, fusing. Maybe do just 1 sub and buy a cheaper amp for start. RE Audio Sex V2 sub and Re Audio ZtX 3000.1.

SoundQubed. They just came out with some new subs that are a hella good deal for the power they can take.

Normally im all about higher powered efficient subs rather the multiple subs. However in this case id suggest to twos 12s. Reason being down the road should you decide to upgrade them , you can keep the same box. Do a direct drop add a bigger amp and are good to go. There also easier to control and less likely to have an issue. Once you start to get into high powered subs upgrading them does get you as huge of gains, and to get gains it becomes expensive fast. If your new to it all the chances of hurting something go up. This way you have an ease into car audio and have future expandability.

You could pick up a couple of the Audio Technix AT800.1d's while they are clearanced. They would net you between 2000 and 2400w rms clean at 14.4v

Then you could get a couple XFL 12's and strap them on the amps

http://www.carstereogiant.com/product-p/pair-xfl12.htm

That would leave you with $250 left for everything else you would need. It would be pretty loud, I don't think you'll have enough left in the budget for electrical though.
