Altenator and battery upgrade help

What's your reasoning for wanting to use 2 different amps to power the same set of subs. I just don't see how that can work out well.

Edit: never mind, why do you want to use 2 different sets of subs and amps? Just seems like a lot of room to take up, a lot of money to invest and a lot of preparation and possibly a few glitches here or there.

Because to me two 18s are too loud to listen to all the time. Plus I like the sound of 10s
You know you don't have to have your system at full tilt to listen to it. I would say get the 18's and the 3.5k and when you don't want to be loud, just don't play it full tilt. The way a sub plays and sounds is in the design of the box. 2 18's and 2 10's will take up a shit ton of space.

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

Ok,

My original post still plays.

Its a lil odd, what you wanna do. Id just put the big boy subs on a Pac nob, and keep it down/off untill you wanna get silly.

However, elect will still play here. Biggest XS power under the hood, a quality alt along with it, and maybe a group 31, or 2, (your call) and youll be fine.

Watch voltage, add bank accordingly. Good luck.

I'm having to remove my backseat anyways to make room for the two 18s, so I figured why not. Plus I'm a complicated person lol. I wouldn't be happy if it was the easy way :-D

Yea the bank won't be to happy and especially not the wife.

Thank you for the help.

Well, doing what you want to do, really is unnecessary and going to be pretty complicated. I agree with kylar, get a pac knob, and crank it when you want it cranked.

if you learn to use the volume knob, then you will have no issues running 2 18's daily.

edit: honestly dont see a point in making THAT much more work for yourself, when it takes two fingers to turn a knob.

Yea I guess I can see your point. It will be more work than necessary. (And less money)
