Round port length ?

i have a 0.95 ft3 sealed box "i know it's small" and i need to port it

i want to use a pvc pipe but i dont know what length and diameter to use

i want it it to be tuned to about 33 hz

your best bet would be 2 in diameter and 6.7 - 7in long port. GO to http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp

wrong, 1 2in diameter port would be WAY to small.

OP, with that box size, just make a new box. All it is going to do when you add a port is shrink the volume even more, probably wont have room for the actual port unless you have it completely external, and going to sound like a leaky sealed box.

ah shit, thanks i agree. i was thinking of a square sub box 12x12. minus speaker speaker space.

Yeah you really just need to build a whole new box. Trying to add a port to an existing sealed box is NOT going to work out well at all.

i did it with a 2" pvc pipe 7" long the difference is not huge but the bass tones became deeper which i liked a lot thank u all guys
