SICKSPD
Wellllll I finally got started on the build once again…heres the latest I got me a cheap new jigsaw, it gets the job done. Got the false floor wood cut out and well well well… i found out this stock 8" woofer's true purpose…holding my light while i work at night lol after cutting out the false floor piece I figured out the necessary height of a spacer to make that floor piece level. This is what I came up with. Now time to secure this piece to the car secured with two lag bolts from the sheet metal beneath. this thing aint going anywhere. even with all my weight pushing against it it doesn't wanna budge Im opting to use expanding foam as additional support beneath the false floor for extra bracing towards the front of the floor piece. Since I know I'll most likely change the setup and want easy removal of the foam I lined the surfaces with tape. Also got the battery tray floor cut out that will sit in the spare tire wheel well area. It still needs to be secured and possibly painted? It won't be seen but it might be nice having it painted black I also got the dimensions of the battery tray cut out. Its not glued or screwed together but you can see what it'll kinda look like. Theres room for another two next to it when I go to add more. More to come soon. 09 Challenger R/T (Audio system under construction): Pioneer AVH-X4500BT (PAC RP4CH11 harness) (2) Sundown Audio SA-8v2 (inverted) CT Sounds AT1400.1D XS Power D3400 40 sq ft. SICKSPD
Got a little more done today before I go to work. Test fitted the battery Threw some rattle can paint on it. Once I get another battery I might fiberglass it all and make it fancy with some real paint Drilled the holes in the sheet metal and in the wood for the bolts to bolt down the outer surround of the sealed portion. Here you can see them attached but not tightened on all the way to test the fitting As you can see its gonna need a good bit of foam or pre caulk on the edges of the surround to fully seal it off. I got the wood cut as close to the shape of the sheet metal as possible but clearly not good enough. The last picture you can see the lines drawn down the side of the false floor where the two panels will go that will extend down about 3/4 of the way. The opening between the these two boards is gonna be 31.5", exactly the width of the enclosure so its gonna be a tight fit. Im still figuring out how I'm going to seal the area above the box in the front of it. The enclosure will sit about 8" recessed from the front of the false floor. This will give it just enough room for the subs to be mounted inverted as they are exactly 7" tall from the basket to the bottom of the motor and 8" accounts for the slope of the seats. 09 Challenger R/T (Audio system under construction): Pioneer AVH-X4500BT (PAC RP4CH11 harness) (2) Sundown Audio SA-8v2 (inverted) CT Sounds AT1400.1D XS Power D3400 40 sq ft. SICKSPD
looking sick bro nice thanks mane. Im excited about it coming together. The only thing that aggravates me is one of the bolts on the left side won't seat level with the other bolts so it looks off. i don't suppose it will matter too much as it should still tighten down fine but it just looks weird while you can see it. 09 Challenger R/T (Audio system under construction): Pioneer AVH-X4500BT (PAC RP4CH11 harness) (2) Sundown Audio SA-8v2 (inverted) CT Sounds AT1400.1D XS Power D3400 40 sq ft. SojiaRaggs9000
Looking good man. From my experiance with my 300 (they share the same interior as your's)... if you put the port on the passanger side and leave the passanger side rear seat up.. The system will sounds louder to the ear. * Eclipse CD3200 with PAC SWI-CAN2 and SW-ECL2 Steering Wheel Controls Interface* Pioneer D-Series Mids and Highs ( Fronts: TS-D1702C; Rears; TS-D1702R and Dash; TS-D1002R )* Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4 ( Mids and Highs Amp )* DC 3.5k with Dual Inputs; Custom Plexiglass Backing ( Sub Amp )* Rockford Fosgate Balanced Line Driver * One FULLY LOADED ~ 10" DC m2 XL* Custom Built Carpeted Ported Box Tuned to 32hz. Well my original plan was to have the port in the center since I hoped to screw the box to the pieces of wood that run down the side of the false floor and I would be able to do this from screwing inside the box, with a port anywhere other than the center I wouldn't be able to access the sides of the box to screw into. But since the fit will be so tight I might not need to screw these pieces together. I was always told that port on the driver side would be louder but I plan on experimenting with a couple different setups of boxes so Ill just see what sounds best with various layouts. 09 Challenger R/T (Audio system under construction): Pioneer AVH-X4500BT (PAC RP4CH11 harness) (2) Sundown Audio SA-8v2 (inverted) CT Sounds AT1400.1D XS Power D3400 40 sq ft. SojiaRaggs9000
Well with the rear passanger side seat up the port would load off of the back of the seat and come out the rear driver's side seat area. Idk... its been the loudest orientation that I've found. **40/60 rear seats... 40 covers the port and half the sub on my setup and the 60 is completely open. * Eclipse CD3200 with PAC SWI-CAN2 and SW-ECL2 Steering Wheel Controls Interface* Pioneer D-Series Mids and Highs ( Fronts: TS-D1702C; Rears; TS-D1702R and Dash; TS-D1002R )* Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4 ( Mids and Highs Amp )* DC 3.5k with Dual Inputs; Custom Plexiglass Backing ( Sub Amp )* Rockford Fosgate Balanced Line Driver * One FULLY LOADED ~ 10" DC m2 XL* Custom Built Carpeted Ported Box Tuned to 32hz.
