Little update got some new uprated brakes today.

Not really audio related but with adding 500kg+ of audio the car might need the extra stopping help.

Brembo 4 pots with 340mm discs.

Standard discs are 280mm so got 60mm more disc area.

Just need to make some brackets to fit calipers.

After watching meades vid on plasti dip his badges i thought i would try doing my door handles as ive never liked the silver look.

It all peeled off nicely around the handle and any overspray just rubbed off.

Didnt realise how little i had left in the can so only managed to get 2 and half coats on 1 handle before it ran out.

Going to order another can do other handle, rear badge and them side silver bits.

Its making me consider getting the whole car plasti dip as the paint work on it is terrible got laquer peel and stone chips everywhere.

I missed taking the pictures of the baffle being glued in.

I had to trim some of the flush fit layer in order to get subs in.

Fits perfect although i might trim all the way round as its very tight.

Got another 2 xs d3100 giving me 5 total so got to find a way of fitting them.

I thought just raise them 2" above other batteries and buss bars then use some 0awg to connect to buss bars.

After a bit of measuring and reading a few builds im tempted to lay all 5 down on end in a row against the back of box where the 2 rockford amps are and move them to wheel well.

Ended up taking a step backwards today.

A couple of months ago i put 2 layers of Loudboys 4mm sound deadening ontop of my 2mm Silent Coat i already had on the doors.

Since then everytime it rained or i washed my car the water that runs down my windows into door then worked it was between the 2 deadening.

That would then peel away the Loudboys in places and other places pull the Silent Coat with it I believe its because the Silent Coat has a foil layer on the top.

Pulled off £40 worth of Silent Coat and £60 worth of Loudboys and going to start comepletly fresh with just Loudboys if i have enough left.

Hopefully i can reuse some of what i pulled off but its a mess.

While the sun was out this morning i thought i would try and reuse all that sound deadening that fell off my doors.

Sorted out all that i could try and save and put it on my roof to heat up in the sun.

Just used it anywhere i could on the floor.

Hopefully it makes a difference but i can say Loudboys deadening is alot better than Silent Coat.

Didnt fancy fibreglassing today as it goes everywhere so thought id try and use some body filler for the first time.

Having 4 18" holes for access is great i can pretty much get inside the box although i havnt tried.

Hate this stuff after 5mins with head inside box got a thumping headache!

Tried giving it a quick sand by hand but ill wait till i got the electric sander for that.
