I used liquid nail. I had to jig up a brace to keep pressure on the boards while it was settling. I took it off after two hours thinking it was on there long enough. Hopefully I can find a way to remove so I can try again this weekend.

use PL and let it sit for at least 24hrs with pressure. and then don't bump for a week. but then at least no flex and those boards will never be coming off your truck ever.

tennis balls wedged between the bed and the cab do wonders... thats where id start

not if you are loud......

2x4's PLed to the back wall did FUCKING wonders for mine.

edit: let mine sit for about 48hrs, only get about .25in of flex maybe, was getting close to an inch, loosing all output lower than 35hz before i did it.

I got a vid of the back window and cab before the 2x4s and it came millimeters away from touching the bed. The 2x4s clear enough that if I wanted to sell the truck i could just throw it back in. I lose output from 35hz still bad. It hits alright for two vvx 15s on ct sounds 1400.1

.....you're supposed to put the 2x4 length wise. putting them vertical like you did, you didn't get nearly as much structural stability against the back flexing as if you did it length wise. that's why you're still getting flex even after putting the 2x4's in.

You might be able to get away with the 2x4's the way you have it, if you add a strip of angle iron to the top and bottom of the boards. Another in the middle wouldn't hurt.
