just be careful to look at reviews of things and such before u buy em. when i went back after my stuff got stolen to get it replaced, i asked him if he knew if the db drive did rated, i had my questions cuz i thought there was no way 4ga wire could carry that much current and he kept tellin me as far as he knows it does 2500 watts and what not lol so i set up the appt to get my stuff installed again and before i went there, i bought that t2500 and def a huge difference, t250 doesnt get hot all day long and its a very nice piece of equipment and best part i got it for the same price he wanted for the db drive and its got steves signature on the back haha this forum has helped me install my own stuff from now on and it has helped me pick great equipment. most everyone on here is amazing lol

I usually have no idea what to ask on here.. i see so many t2500 or t1000 or stuff like that but i have no idea what they are... A bunch of stuff steve talks about on his videos i get lost

haha, u will learn soon enough, i came here not knowin much also and idk i just have this weird urge to learn everything i can about car audio stuff haha, so now i install my own stuff and t2500s ur seeing is rockford equipment, they make great stuff, especially amps haha i think their subs are a little pricey and i bought mine cuz ive always like rockford, but im gonna be upgrading to some dc xls hopefully in the spring and adding another amp haha but it is true, i thought my system was loud and then i went to a competition and i wanna be one of those guys demoing and just gettin crazy loud and lots of air movement haha

Too true. Went from a single Cadence 15" Wild Beast on a kenwood 500w amp to 4 CT-Sounds Exo 15's walled on a b2 zero.5 in a year and...2 months? Getting loud is addictive if you have the funds.

But in all honesty OP, I wouldn't say it was a terrible buy. The RMS is likely 1/2 the wattage listed that you're seeing. Buddy of mine here got a quote to install 2 shallow mount alpines on a 500w alpine amp with a prefab box for under his seats in his silverado... quoted him 1200.

haha unfortunately i do not exactly have the funds cuz im still in college, but when i do get the funds!!! oooohhh im going as big as it gets hahaha. well as big as i can go and still be happy with myself lol

Haha yeah on these forums i RARELY see anything about the common brands i hear of which are db drive, quantums, and kickers.. alot of people i know have those brands but on here i see abunch of brands ive never really heard of haha.. but d tronics is the main car audio store here and thats mainly all they carry... Maybe eventually ill buy something more advanced like everyone here

Its how you get the audio bug. Rarely did anyone on here start with 5k and 18's walle din their car or full SQ builds.

I had a off brand 12..shitty performance teknique crap amp and bad wiring. Tooka few weeks on here to ditch it all and do a single 12 the right way. Now doing 6 5.25" subwoofers under the rear seat, kick panels etc. Its all for fun and just keep it that way. No one is gonna hate on your gear...DB drive is a good budget brand..about the same as Hifonics, you will eventually updgrade but if you are happy with the money spent that is ALL that matters.
