still dimming after 3 different upgrades

Recommended Posts

Ok guys i have a (rockford t1000) 1000 watt RMS amp, and 2 rockford T1 10's 600 RMS watt's a peace. I have done the BIG 3, upgraded to a 250 amp alt, and a brand new 1000 cranking amp dura last gold battery. My question is why is everything still dimming on me? This is going down the road mind you, with the motor spinning around 3000 RPM. I'm prob going to do a dual battery setup with another dura last gold. I just don't understand why I'm still getting the dang dimming.

You cruise at 3k engine rpm? Driving a crotch rocket?

Anyway.

All Alts aren't created equal. Who makes your alternator.?

Also, headlight dimming isn't as bad as some people think. The lights will dim and get brighter when voltage changes enough to make them do so.

Do them dim and stay that way, or do they go dim/normal/dim/normal?

aluminum 4 gauge wire to the amp from batt. i used the back seat mounting studs for ground after using wire brush to remove any paint on them. also did a jumper type thing from one stud to the next closest one just so it would be a good ground. the vehicle is 2004 avalanche. big 3 is 2 gauge oxy free copper.
