CleanSierra
I'm not a fan of that port design. Those subs don't need much port area, but the aspect ratio is an important thing to factor in for efficiency of the port. 1:1 is ideal(think a perfect circle), like Meade's square port. You have over a 12:1 ratio . You may experience port noise but I doubt it. Your port just isn't as efficient as it should be and your listening experience could suffer from it. A port with a better aspect ratio(closer to 1:1 than you are now) would be much better. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. My target is 140 which with this setup shouldn't be an issue. if it doesn't make it a redesign is definitely going to happen. this is my fist ever ported box. every owned, ever built. nothing will be final on it until it hits the meter which should be next weekend. even then the subs won't be broken in so I will still be under powered. You guys know the drill, "It's never loud enough!" www.facebook.com/EKCASA System: All Rockford Fosgate Front: 2 Pair Prime 6.5's and 1 pair Prime 5.25 Components Rear: 1 Pair Prime 6.5 3 Ways Subs: 4 Prime R2D2-12's Amps: Front: Prime R250X4 Subs: 2 Prime 500X1d's HU: JVC KD-AR959BS 2 Optima Yellow Tops Singer 230A H/O Alt. EKCASA
You wont have a lowend monster. But I bet you put up some high numbers. And it will be nice on music You Sir were right. Definitely not a lowend setup. @ 65hz its the same frequency as the two 10s sealed under the seat that I was running before. The gains were not set correctly, they were actually a little low, i didn't want to hurt the subs since they're not broke in yet. www.facebook.com/EKCASA System: All Rockford Fosgate Front: 2 Pair Prime 6.5's and 1 pair Prime 5.25 Components Rear: 1 Pair Prime 6.5 3 Ways Subs: 4 Prime R2D2-12's Amps: Front: Prime R250X4 Subs: 2 Prime 500X1d's HU: JVC KD-AR959BS 2 Optima Yellow Tops Singer 230A H/O Alt. jmanjr82
Overall nice setup man, really like the amp setup. I think a different box with a more efficient port would yield even higher numbers. Good work!
