Soccerballzs
If you want air a 30 gallon. If you are just using to blow stuff off a small pancake will work. The smaller ones will not run air tools keep that in mind, (sanders). But nail guns will work. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/2438-jeep-commander/I Pioneer P99RSAmpere 38002-Ampere 125/44-6.5 inch Hertz HSK XL Mids4-8 inch JL Audio ZR Midwoofer 2-5.25 Satori Mids2-Morel Tweeters, 2 Hertz Milles 3 inch on A pillars2-Hertz Silk tweeters DC Audio Level 5/12 Skyhigh Wire Mechman 320 XS Power D3100MO Funniest Thread of the Year 2013: http://www.stevemead...dy-being-a-pos/

Soccerballzs
15 to anything above that. Some of the smaller ones will but you need to watch the recovery level of the compressor. I have a Makita Makair that I paid over $400.00 for it will run nail guns but not air sanders. I also have a 30 gallon Craftsman that will run air tools and sanders. It is about air recovery to the tank from the compressor. A lot of the smaller ones will run nailguns though. But will run constantly. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/2438-jeep-commander/I Pioneer P99RSAmpere 38002-Ampere 125/44-6.5 inch Hertz HSK XL Mids4-8 inch JL Audio ZR Midwoofer 2-5.25 Satori Mids2-Morel Tweeters, 2 Hertz Milles 3 inch on A pillars2-Hertz Silk tweeters DC Audio Level 5/12 Skyhigh Wire Mechman 320 XS Power D3100MO Funniest Thread of the Year 2013: http://www.stevemead...dy-being-a-pos/

Yeah and get a 30 gallon as said . Use mine all the time. Hope you don't mine me adding my little 2 cents.
boom50cal
We have a five gallon that you literally have to let it fill back up between tires if your rotating anything more than a 5 lug car. It takes like an hour to change and rotate the tires on my F-250 If I were to buy my dad another one, I'd probably get him this. http://www.sears.com/33-gallon-vertical-air-compressor-165psi/p-00916572000P Our 5 gallon is a craftsman too and has been chugging along since 2004. SnowDrifter
What sort of tools will you be running? Those small 2-3 gallin pancake compressors are for doing things like topping off tire pressure in the car, inflating bicycle tires, footballs, etc. Any sort of tool use and you'll want a 20-30 gallon compressor.Oil-lube is quieter and lasts longer. Belt drive is quieter too. Also: Get a 1/2" air hose. Not 3/8. Impact guns, etc will starve on a 3/8 air hose ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
SnowDrifter
Oh: and another thing. CFM ratings for air tools are typically based on an average 25% duty cycle. You might see 4-5x the air draw when you are actually using the tool. ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
