JNells
[/url Took awhile to get the right fit in the car so the glove box would still fully open and the seat will slide all the way forward. But once I got it, I sanded it all down and applied a couple more coats of resin and reinforced the skeleton and speaker ring. I don't have a pic but I wrapped fabric around my dowels prior to glueing everything in place. Made reinforcing them soooo much easier AND cleaner. A little more sanding and it'll be time to wrap, then more fitting.. Malibu Build Log

JNells
looks good, i think that with work much better on those monster mids. You have come along way from the first attempt. Keep up the good work! Thanks! It's looking a hell of alot better than my first attempt, and hopefully sounds better too. I did flush mount this time too, which took forever using a jigsaw. But thankfully I made all my wood pieces (for both doors) at the same time. So when I do the other side, it's just a matter of putting it together. Like an IKEA door pod. Lol. JNells
4 layers down... I overlapped the layers onto the mdf then sandwiched 2 big layers on the mdf, kinda tieing them all together. Thought this would increase the overall integrity. I even thought about taking some small rope or string and glassing it in with the layers to increase strength, but only saw that done with sub enclosures so decided to forgo the extra process.
