Its getting nice here in AK, i think the snow has stopped, getting into the 40s during the day. Melt away and bring the spring! I got my HDS310s today! Ya.... Now as for anything in your rear deck... Listen to someones first before you decide anything. I had some T165 coax in the rear deck running 75 watts to them and hated the sound stage being that high. Shit just bounces off the glass and fires forward like a bitch. Sure you can fade em out but then whats the point of having them? And all that work i did to the rear doors was a waste IMO, i should have just concentrated on the front stage. I have like $600+ into the rear doors and i dont even hear em. I just saying... Anyway, posting pics of subs on build log now. Check it out! Yea that's kind of been my thinking and apprehension too. Why go thru all the trouble if it's barely going to be heard or make a difference.. Which is why I was thinking about the rear doors, mainly due to me being so tall and having my seat all the way back, speakers in the rear doors would actually be closer to my ears than the front door speakers when I drive. That is still in the idea phase, since it will be a little while before I do anything as far as speakers go. Hoping the new battery keeps my voltage up and my current speakers/amps will perform a little better. I notice I drop below 13 sometimes, and it drops from steady 13.8 starting to steady 13.1 after playing loud for a bit. I don't have any major major voltage issues (it's never dropped below 12) but I can tell the difference in sound from 13.8 and 13.1. Just doesn't get as loud or hit as hard. Did you go with 2 of the HDS10s? I'm assuming. I'll be checking it out in your log. But you'll have to let me know what you think of them, as I have been kinda leaning towards SQ for subs too. Especially if they're the same price when I'm looking to buy. Tough to beat at that price point. Malibu Build Log

JNells Posted April 2, 2014 Author Report Posted April 2, 2014 Recent goodie grab: Black foam backed micro suede fabric for headliner and various inserts. 72x60 Black perforated leather for trim/inserts 36x60 Upholstery foam to be used with interior. 2 sheets of 1/4 closed cell foam for front door panels (for more weather/sound proofing) 1 black, 1 charcoal, 1 carbon fiber sheet of automotive vinyl. 36x60 for each. OBD2 wifi/Bluetooth adapter (for ipad dash command) 2 blue led volt meters Bunch of 4 pin relays with wiring harnesses. (Going to make a relay panel and redo wiring). 4 8ohm tweeters (60 watts rms per) with 2 5khz crossovers. (2 for each A pilar). I ordered this last week with some coming today, but will take pics of it all as it comes in. The fabric will probably be awhile as that's the only thing I haven't received shipping confirmation from yet. Malibu Build Log
JNells Posted April 2, 2014 Author Report Posted April 2, 2014 Due to current and future weight issues and parts being factory, I will be redoing/replacing my struts/suspension as well as brakes and possibly tie rods. Slotted and drilled rotors with max ceramic pads. I wanted to get the air lift 1000 to help with trunk weight but it looks like it won't work with how the rear shocks are set up... Malibu Build Log
