JNells Posted June 12, 2014 Author Report Posted June 12, 2014 Pretty boring progress but what the hell here's some pics... Got my meter wiring done.. I wanted it to be detachable in the event I have to yet again take the bezel off.. So I crimped and heat shrunk some male/female connectors in line. However the meter wire was super small so I soldered a small segment of the bigger wire to meter wire and made my connection 14gauge to 14gauge. (Waaay overkill but what've it's what I had laying around) Malibu Build Log

I did it this way so the buttons would just barely stick out but yet wouldn't need a pin or something sharp to push them Backside of brackets glued into place The front side will obviously be cleaned up and smoothed out, but that's pretty much what the backside is gonna look like Malibu Build Log

They weren't soldered very well and it wasn't hot glued like the wires to the meter... Soooo this sucks. Lol Malibu Build Log

(The bulbs were burnt out 5 years ago when I bought the car) Anyone know if it's too bright and illegal? I know it probably differs by state, but anyone have issues being pulled over at night? I've definitely thought about doing the face of the ipad dock in the carbon fiber I have... But didn't really like the look when i held it up on there.. I wish I knew how to real cf bc the whole dash bezel would look sick in real cf. All glossy and sexy like lol. But that is def not a first timer type project... At least I don't think so.
