Guest Posted December 2, 2013 Report Share Posted December 2, 2013 input level = gain. same thing. that .4 amps you're talking about is the remote turn on lead. that wire turns on your amplifier when the sony stereo turns on. input level is adjusted to how many volts the preouts (rear audio out) on your sony put out. usually its like 2 volts, or 2.5 volts, sometimes 4 volts. depends on the stereo.
