Only reason I didn't consider 3 18s is because I didn't want to copy dc's teg. 4 15s seems a bit more rare. But cone area ftfw. I'd like strong numbers, but it's mainly for daily use. Will a driver side port be best or center/top work best? Although center port would have to be a square basically.

Numbers id do drvr port.

There will always be somebody before you.

Ask him what worked in his and what didnt.

Try to improve on it and enjoy it

alright ray,i have talked to mikey pilato and mike singer on facebook about my

deck problem, something that their friend blake hunt was going through as well with his alpine stereo.

i have a alpine cda 9886

Everytime the bass hits really low my deck freezes,so i have to press the gray top left button

for the face to go down and than push it back up so the stereo would unfreeze,

music would still play ofcourse,it just wont let me turn the bass/volume down or change tracks.

its really annoying.

wondering if its just alpine stereos that do that,

because I had the same problem with my alpine double din,

my screen would flicker ridiculously, but it wouldnt freeze.

any suggestions of what should i do or try?

Try unplugging the antenna

Unplugged the antenna and it made no difference.. noise still there.

Unplugged RCA's from head unit noise is gone

Unplugged RCA's from amp's noise is gone

Plugged my droid phone into amp with external rca and noise was gone.

This kinda makes me believe the RCA's are bad but I have not changed anything and this noise has just started recently. Could the RCA's go bad over time?

Plug your droid into the rcas behind the deck.

If noise is gone its not rcas.

If noise is still there, bad rcas

Noise is gone when I plug into rca's behind the head unit with the droid.

Tried all three rcs's Front, rear and sub out and no noise.

That tells me 1of 2 things.

Either,

A-fucked up deck or

B- ground loop(from bad deck ground or what not)

Try running a new deck ground all the way to the amp ground.

Just lay a wire over the seats and shit.

I already ran a ground from the deck back to the same ground as the amp. The sub amp is grounded to the rear battery and the rear battery is grounded to the frame. The mid/high amp and radio is grounded to the seat bolt and it was sanded down to metal. I did try running the ground on the Mid/high amp and radio to the battery also and it made no difference. I have tried three different head units and the same problem with all three.

Like I mentioned before I also notice that my headlights lights pulsate also.

do you have dimmer or illum hooked up to the deck?

does that deck have an outboard dc-dc convertor?

do you have a cheapo pioneer deck or something to try?
