Not here to poop on Rays domain, so Ray flame for this if need be-

epicenter is a sound processor for bass restoration. It reproduces bass, thats it. It is beneficial for a person who listens to music which lacks bass. Epicenter is not suited for rap, it is suited for more rock, alternative, pop type of music. :)

ray is busy with his new shop, so i thought id answer it

Not true bro-ham. I listen to rap all day long and I use my epic-160 on A LOT of it to put the really low stuff in it. So I would not tell someone that. I DO however have a subsonic filter runnin at 25hz.

The t4001 has pass thru RCA's use those to go to the Alpine..if its 4 channels and u need 4 RCA's get Y adapters...

Thats not needed-Unless you're just trying to limit the control you have over the system i.e. front/rear/ sub fader. He said he has 3 preouts, front, rear & sub-so all he needs to do is run rca's from deck to each of those-sub level from deck to the T4k and the front/rear from those outputs on the deck to the inputs on the 4channel alpine amp.

Would 1 alpine pdx 1000.1 be enough for 3 alpine type S 10"s? Or should i get 2 smaller amps?

Yes, if not TOO MUCH.

either bolt a board to tha seat back and screw the amp to that, or do something custom to sink the amps in flush in the seat backs. easiest way is add a mounting board or mdf w/ Nuts & BOLTS from insde the seat back, and then screw your amp to that board.

Here's an example of sinking them in flush:

Question: My amp works fine when i first start my car at the beginning of the day or after long periods of rest. After listening to it at fairly high volumes for maybe 5-10 minutes, it starts playing softer/ quieter. When it starts doing this, i let it sit for a while (go to school or let it sit over night) and then it works like new again. do i have a bad connection? is the amp broke? i just replaced my RCA's thinking it would solve the problem, but it only helped a little bit.

More than likely in that 5-10 minute time your adjusting to the high sound level. Nothing is broke. You get used to it then when you get away from the loud sounds for a while and come back you have to readjust. It's like jumping into a cold pool, in a few minutes your body adjusts and your fine but if you get out for 30-45 minutes you've got to readjust.

That's vehicle dependant. Like the picture below. My seat has a plastic back with covering over it so, all you would need to do is screw directly into the seat back, but if your vehicle does not have this do as LSN2meBoom916 said.

It never sounded right for me unfortunately, maybe its the type of rap I listen to I guess? It sounded like the sub was "lost", my epicenter is a series 2(old) so there is no knobs on the unit except a volume knob..

its not a small change, it sounds like i dont even have a sub in the car unless i turn everything up on the amp...

its a RF t2000 with 8 gauge speaker wire and 1/0 power. the battery is a yellow top and the sub is an 18" btl fully loaded that i think is the dual 1 config.
