Ray Posted February 19, 2012 Author Report Posted February 19, 2012 I think a 52 ish is reasonable bp fired onto the glass. But you are not going to need 10k That trunk sucks for getting loud and i think bp is the best bet. 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz
Nine8SST Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Ray...big wide open question here. I'm gonna do a blow through in my truck. 2 DC Level 3 12's on a SAZ1500D. I have been toying with box designs in BBP6 just to get ideas. But, what does your experience tell you would be the best type of box for me to run? 1998 SS/T Ram Build Log - Kenwood KVT-514 and KNA-G510 Navigation - 2 DC Level 3 12" - Components??? - Sundown ??? - Sundown??? - Knu Konceptz - Second Skin Dampy Pro - XS D6500
ryantrip Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 Hey guys I have a question. I have a Polk Audio MM1240 (DVC) (100-425 watts RMS @ 4ohms) and a Kicker 08ZX7501 (Class D Mono Subwoofer Amplifier-750-Watt 2ohms) which is 930 watts tested cuz they underrate their stuff of course. My question is... how can I safely connect the two? Wont it put a 2 ohm or 8 load on the amp since its DVC depending how I connect it? If thats true I can only give the sub too much or not enough power..... right? I'm using this diagram as a reference. http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/1DVC_4-ohm_mono.jpg
Ray Posted February 25, 2012 Author Report Posted February 25, 2012 You are correct. Too much or not enough. Your wiring options are 2 or 8ohms 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz
