I'm working on my electrical plan for my next build. I've ruled out skar 4500 because I do not have the space to fit extra batteries, so I have decided to run with two skar 1500's strapped. Doing the math at 13v I have figured I need around 385 AH to power the two skars.

Is this correct? and how come batteries online that are rated at 35AH like shuriken BT-35 say they can handle 950 amps?

What you "need" is 270 amp alt and 250ah of battery. Roughly.

Considering 14.2v and about 50amps left over for the car

Should do it.

Like i said, roughly.

Each amp prob pulls 170amp at full tilt at a normal load.

awesome thanks ray so with my 220amp I have currently I'm looking at 300AH battery, roughly

and at 170 each thats 4760 watts but taking into account the efficiency 70% thats 3332 watts at 14v, I'm assuming full tilt.

Quick question, I got some static coming from my Sundown 50.4, With or W/O RCA's hooked up. Bad ground? Grounded straight to back batt.
