AI James
why not use a Decal on the inside rather then etch? cost a whole lot better and still looks great.
KWP369
the best way to cut plexi is a bandsaw... trust me i've tried all the other ways dremel just melts it, jig saw cracks it cuz it goes up and down but the band saw is the best way cuz the blade only moves in one direction keepin the plexi sheet from vibratin too much Quote Do you read ur own response b4 you post?...or just type ur gut reaction and headbutt the enter key? How bout this, the Caddy sounds so damn good it can put a smile on a "deaf mans" face mat then mix hardener into resin and soak mat. beeeeeyaw glassing for n00bs
sean 371
False...Jigsaw does not crack the thicker plexi, just be patient and go a little slower. For thinner plexi use a table saw tho Quote A couple links to some box builds: Tahoe Box 1, Tahoe Box 2, Nissan Titan, VW GTI, Mini-Bump, Hummer H2, Ford F-150 My own car builds (current setup --- under construction): Overall Thread, Kickpods, Dash, Back Doors Subwoofer Wall
Derrick824
I'm just throwing an idea out there. What about making the "DC" the open part? It would look good backlit with the inside of the box painted.
Thewes
I'm just throwing an idea out there. What about making the "DC" the open part? It would look good backlit with the inside of the box painted. I had that design drawn out too but theres a couple flaws there. It would be hard getting wood in certain spots like the center of the D, it would also be hard in general just cutting out those shapes. I figured just a almost symterical I shape would be the easiest to cut and cheapest plexi price wise. All I need is a 2x4 sheet and cuts are pretty simple.
