Hey gotta question for ya, What Alt are you planning on running? I asked Mechman and they said they only get a 180 amp alt for my engine ( 2.0 zetec). Also, Those door panels, What do you plan on putting in them, DD or Soundstream, ( I didn't know if you changed your mind from what your page says) Trying to get idea's for my build. I though about doing 1 pair of DD Cs 6.5's in each door of the front doors. Maybe 1 set for each side of the back seat. Looking forward to seeing what your building! looks good so far!

Edit: Didnt see you had made them already. LOL must have missed it.

as far as my alt I have a buddy (who is on here) who is building one for me. it will be a 160 amp alt and that's the hot rating so I will be equivalent to a dc or mechman 220-240. eventually I will probably get rid of the ac and put in 2 alts. and ya I have the doors in already lol. I plan on taking them apart sometime and either rebuilding them or putting filler on them and painting them. they don't look bad at all especially considering they were my first panels ever but the heat got to them over the summer and the glue didn't hold to well. but ya man nice to see another focus on here.

I have the same motor as you dubstep

I went with a 250amp alt from singer. Adding in external regulator for my alt. Car likes to charge around 13.8-14.2 hot which is good imo but at comps I just want to be able to boost up voltage to 14.8-15 charging.

Mechmen had told me they have up to a 220amp alt and I never checked dc.

singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

I was planning on fiber glassing some door panels... but my windows are manual... I barely have enough room to fit 1 set of components let alone 2. ... I honestly have no clue what I should do.

Mecman is who I ran in my ZX3 and it was a 220 amp unit that put out 242 when it was dynoed. They may not want to make you a 220 because by doing it they were not able to fit the correct regulator in mine. My battery light was always on because of this and I'm pretty sure they won't do this for everyone. I told them I was fine with the battery light being on as long as I could get more power.

I would either install automatic window motors or just try and work around them.
