Good work on those doors. The focus doors can be hard to do because the door handle.

ya they were a pain but after I got the fleece tacked down to the panel it was fairly easy. I'm really excited

to finish them though because this will be the first time I have had actual mids and highs.

No problems at all. my friend ran those by nines in his car for almost a year with no problems. they sounded great too. I have a couple vids on my youtube channel

of the SQ produced by them if you wanna check them out. as far as the amps go I have never had any trouble with them. I have worked with the Soundstream D-tower amps, Tarantula nano amps, both the Tarantula TX and TA line amps, the Picasso nano amps, Rubicon amps and the XXX line and have never had a single problem. Never get warm even running at .5 ohms (Tarantula and XXX amps), very efficient and clean as well. thanks and no problem. Ya soundstream has gotten a lot better over the past couple years. The new tarantula amps are way better than the old ones.

Ok so bit of an update here.

first of, I was planning on finishing the door panels this weekend but I decided to throw in the subs instead. I wired the amp to 2 ohms instead of .5 considering I have no electrical at all. I also kept the gain down a bit. I must say it is loud. way louder than my old 15. and considering its only on like 1/6 power I am pretty impressed. the box is solid and sounds great. I was a bit skeptical about the aero ports but I really like the sound of them. I don't have any pics/vids right now to post but I will get some soon. I plan on finishing the doors over spring break in a couple weeks and by then I will have at least 1 batt so I can start turning it up a bit more. its coming together and so far I like it a lot.

now a bit of an update on my buddies car. The SPLX-15's were great subs and sounded great but they are now sold. on the way are 2 DC XL 15's to take the spot of them. we plan on upgrading the alt sometime and then adding a second TA3K. So within the next month or so a lot will be going on so stay tuned for more updates. I will make sure to get lots of pics too.

Alright so it has been a while. sorry for the lack of updates but there really hasn't been much progress lately. but that is all about to change. ordering 2 batts this weekend along with vinyl to wrap my doors in. also getting a new head unit and tons more wire. i have the next 2 weeks off starting next week so i plan on getting it "finished" during that time.

also with my friends car we put the DC XL 15's in and they are getting it. I'll try and get a vid of them soon.

also, I have another build i am working on over the next month or so and it is in a semi. If i decide to post pics of that up i will start a separate log. anyways, stay tuned.

Ok I know how long it's been but here comes updates. been really busy but finally got the time.

So first off I got all new decals on the car thanks to Techforce services.

Second of all, I got my door panels in. Now they are definitely not the best door panels ever but considering its my first time fiber glassing and wrapping they are pretty

good. they sound good to. the driver side door is pretty much done and I gotta touch up the passenger side door a bit. I got some of the wrinkles out with a heat gun but not all of them. anyways, this is what they look like.

Also got a new Head unit thanks to Bump4life and installed all my switches. the switches are for amps, LED's, fans, and voltmeters. the voltmeter I have now will be replaced soon and I plan on making a trim piece for them. anyways here are pics of those.

Now on to electrical. I got an XS power D3100 even though I was planning on running several small batts. I had actually bought my smaller batts but I ended up trading them. I also got a run of KNU OFC 0 gauge on the way as an upgrade. since I wired my amp to .5 I am dropping to mid 12's and it is noticeable while listening to music. my plan Is to get 2 banks of caps and a new alt. the alt brand will be released later on. anyways this is how the batt fit under the box.

I still got the XXX mounted in the same spot as before. I plan on wrapping the blocks it is mounted on soon to make it look a bit cleaner. For the time being I have the D-Tower mounted to this platform I made. The DTR is sold and I plan on either upgrading to Soundstream Reference amps or the new Tarantula amps. both will not only give me more power but also they have better crossovers on them. I also do plan on getting some form of processor to. its still a bit messy but I am goanna wait clean it all up until I get my new wire and new amps.

Anyways that's it for now. I have some build pics I may post up soon. My buddy hasn't changed to much except for the swap to XL's. he is goanna add more power soon and more mids/highs. I still have a lot to do such as install new mids/highs amps, new wiring, install processor, clean everything up, and a lot more. Everything will be ready for Slamology. Both me and my buddy will be there. But as of right now it is LOUD. I can't believe that its only 2 12's on about 3K. Can't wait to upgrade to even more power. but first my electrical needs to be upgraded. anyways like I said it is no where near finished but it will be soon.
