Now I just need someone to grab the 80prs and I will be set. I have work off tomorrow so I will install the AQ tweets in the drivers door and I will be done. Truck is still slamming, speakers sound great no problems with any of my Soundqubed equipment. Havent been working on systems for over a year. Been working on my new to me 2002 Yamaha FZ1.. Fun stuff. oldsoundguy Posted July 14, 2016 Author Report Share Posted July 14, 2016 Well I think the time has come to go in another direction. I will be taking out the two 12" HDC3 subs and the SQ 2200 amp. I will be running a set of RE Audio components in the doors along with the SQ coax speakers off the SQ 4 channel amp. One reason is I need the room in my extra cab so I will be putting the jump seats back in to carry the kids. I still want it to sound good with a little bump and the RE XXX did the job last time. I wish I still had the two sets I purchsed a couple years ago. oldsoundguy Posted September 18, 2016 Author Report Share Posted September 18, 2016 Well I need a little bass so I will be adding a Single 4 ohm RE audio 8 " subwoofer in a prefab vented box by ground shaker. The box is 0.86 cu.ft. tuned to 35hrz. I am just too lazy to build my own box. Its 15 1/4 w x 15 1/2 l x 9 3/4 h so should take up min room. I have a kenwood Kac5001 amp that was left over from the orig car toys install. It puts out 300 rms @ 4 ohms so it shouldn't over power the sub at all. I will wire it up with 8 gauge power and ground and 10 gauge speaker wire. I will be running a 40amp inline AGU fuse and holder. I know the box isn't perfect but I was planning on plugging the port and running it sealed at first then unplug the port and see which way sounds best.
