truthsayer
Like Kranny said, cone area, power and enclosure. Solid box design and testing, testing, testing. David, I've seen these posts coming from you like crazy. You're over thinking it dude. You're not even sure what vehicle your going to run the equipment in. Get your equipment, get your ride, get a design from someone that's trusted, build it, and let er rip dude. It's as easy as that. If something goes wrong, come back and at that point let's troubleshoot. Cleansierra nice to see a veteran giving out good advice without jumping down a newbs throat. It was said just about as good as it could be said. truthsayer
Guest
They are so expensive lol, I guess u get what u pay for though. Is it really worth the difference if 13vokts and 14.4? That's only like 350-400 watts extra for 500$ :/ its not just the voltage. its the reliability and the use of quality parts that you pay for, as opposed to cheap chinese shit that will melt. Casket
The alt will more than likely be PCM controlled unless you opt for an AVBM setup. You will probably be in the 13.8 range. Guest
I have an hc-2000 hc2400 and big 3 would be done. With a stock 150 amp I think I'd be fine u till I upgraded half of the alt is used up to run the car. minus 10 amps for each battery. so like 70 amps just to power the amp. David Mears
I was talking about using the stock alt and getting around 13 v vs 14.4 volts with a mechman. I kno the mech man is more reliable but I don't kno if it's worth the extra couple hundred watts. Money doesn't grow on trees for me lol
David Mears
It would be nice to kno there's no way the amp will blow lol. My amp has a clip meter and it's pretty dang accurate too, I never let it clip hard lol
