I am going to do my big three before i make any more desicisons. i have 2 runs of 0/1 cca going into my distrubition block (1 from each battery) and i have 1 0/1ofc out. So ill keep it at 2 ohm and see if i can fix the bottle neck, i really dont want to wire down i just want to get the most power i can from it without breaking the bank.

I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

And I would do about 2-4 batts in the back. I feel like a 300+ amp alternator is a little excessive could i purchase around 200amps and be okay? and as a side thought i know its possible to run multiple alternators could i settle for a cheaper one and "strap" them? In addition to the aq i am also running a lrx300.4 its only fused at 30amp but im not pushing it to hard, if i leave the aq wired at 2 how many amps do you think it would be pulling?

And about getting a cheaper one and strapping them I guess you could run two cheaper ones but I say it would be easier to just get one. Everyone is suggesting a 300+ because in the long run you wouldn't need to upgrade again if you add more amps or a bigger amp in general. What car are you putting this in?

From videos iv seen and demos iv gotten i beleive i will have more than enough power to make me happy for a while if i can feed it properly. As for my car, I own a 2002 buick century custom. im going to take a look in the morning and see if there is any room to fit an additional alternator in because i would much rather buy another low amperage 100-150amps alternator for >200$ than go all out on a 300 amp for <500$. are there any sort of universial fits perhaps?

I'm not sure on universal fits but your engine is the 3.8 right? If so there is tons of cars that use the same alt and you could resell in the future. And you might be able to find someone that is selling the one they have
